zebra zt410-203dpi wont go static
I cannot get this Zebra zt410 to take a static IP.
It takes it and shows its static at 230/213 ( any IP )
but then when you go to print the DATA light flashes and nothing happens.
It wont even clear the jobs from the menu or the web interface.
It lets me in the web interface just fine. I've tried the zebra drivers and the seagull drivers which both print fine on dhcp. Everything on the network looks fine so I hooked up a cheap linksys router and it did the same thing!!!
Zebra said the first one was bad firmware and sent me another with newer firmware and its doing the exact same thing... They blame it on windows 10 and the driver but I've tried it on 2 windows 7 VM's all with the same problem where printing once its static causes the data light to blink and a manual pull plug reset....

Reduce Complexity & Optimise IT Capabilities.

Don't do static. Get its MAC address and put a reservation in the dhcp. It will get the same ip every time.
I had an issue like this with another brand and support said it would not do static addressing.

What is the NIC set at for link speed negotiation? I have seen them have issues with Auto and it throwing off numerous other settings. Odd but true.

Oh gods.. not that thing... I've dealt with this before.. here's the instructions on how to do it:

The easier solution is to put a reservation in the DHCP server.

I [email protected]#$ing hate these printers.

Hi, another viable option is to set the printer to DHCP and/or let it obtain an APIPA addr. (169.254) or default IP, 192.168.x.x & then connect a laptop to it directly (via Ethernet) & give it an IP on the same subnet. Then you can connect to it via web browser/portal & configure it that way. (set the static info, save it, then hit the reset "button" on screen, then power it down & re-connect the (actual) network cable, & then power it back up & wallah.
